Kullervo Koivisto’s photography for Penthouse.

Legendary Finnish erotic photographer and video director Kullervo Koivisto (born in 1950 as Heikki Mattinen) has his first-ever exhibition, called Oman elämänsä stuntti (“The stuntman of his own life”), at Helsinki’s Brande Arts gallery (Pitkänsillanranta 3), 22 - 26 August 2011.

Kullervo Koivisto’s career as a photographer of erotic and pornographic images started in the 1980s for such Finnish men’s magazines as Kalle and Jallu. Outside porn, he also photographed for such magazines as Hymy and Nykyposti. In the 1980s also American Penthouse published Koivisto’s erotic fantasy photography. As a director of adult videos, Kullervo Koivisto’s most ambitious work is probably the erotic fantasy feature Uivelot (“The Magic Birds”) of 2008.
