Kata Kärkkäinen (born 27 October 1968) is one of the few Finnish people to have appeared in American Playboy magazine. (Wikipedia lists as others Tiina Virenius a.k.a. Gina Goldberg, May 1981, and the celebrity violin player Linda Lampenius a.k.a. Linda Brava, April 1998.)
Kata Kärkkäinen was seen as the Playmate of The Month on Playboy’s December 1988 issue, thus becoming a celebrity figure also in her native Finland. Alongside her modelling career, she also briefly appeared as a record singer, releasing in 1989 - 1991 some singles and one album, Your Love (1989).
Furthermore, she has worked as an actor (albeit in very small roles), columnist, TV and radio screenwriter, also being an author of six novels. From 2010 onwards she has been known as Katariina Souri.
